COMPUTER TEACHER TRAINING ACADEMY – OPENING CEREMONY MISSION FOR IT EDUCATION

Prof. Subhash Pawar, Director, Pace (Poona). and President of Pragatee foundation, Mumbai Mr. Kiran S. Rane said that with the introduction of CTTA, we are trying to fill the huge gap between the requirement and the availability of qualified Computer Teachers. Organization is going to start Diploma in Computer Education (D.C.Ed.) through its CTTA.
The process of computerization has reached almost all levels of the society and computer has also been introduced as a subject on school levels. However, well-trained manpower to teach computers is still inadequate and CTTA D.C.Ed. would be a first of its kind attempt to produce computer teachers, he added.
 Broadly CTTA D.C.Ed. program can be considered as D.Ed. / B.Ed. in the field of Information Technology and would act as a unique method to develop IT teachers. The course is of 1 year duration. The State Employment Exchange has recognized the program. It is a new concept in the field of IT Education. Program is designed and developed under guidance of Maharashtra Technical Board, Mumbai and Pace foundation, pune.
 These courses would be offered through Authorized Training Centers throughout the state. Pragatee would appoint Regional Coordinators in every region, which in turn would appoint Authorized Training Centers. Program function was inuagrated by hon. Minister Nawab bhai Malik. Organizer were also invited Hon. Minister Hasan mushrif, Hon minister Suresh shetty, hon minister Shri. Kapil Patil and Hon minister Sachin bhau ahir.  Pragatee foundation has received lots of well wish and compliments letters from various ministers like hon CM Vilasrao Deshkmukh, Hon Deputy CM Shri. R.R. Patil and Hon minister Shri Anil Deshmukh, Education minister Prof. Vasant Purke etc.
