WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

 United Nations General Assembly in 1972 established the World Environment Day. On the same day United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) was created too.Today World Environment Day is celebrated world over in many ways. World Environment Day (WED) is not just another day but a special day about you and me. 
Green concerts, essay and poster competitions, rallies, tree planting, recycling efforts, clean-up campaigns etc. are some of the ways people, organizations and the governments express their concern towards the environment. WED is also used to enhance political attention and action. Pledges are made and actions are taken, which lead to the establishment of permanent governmental structures dealing with environmental management and economic planning

Student Career Guidance Program - Kamothe


Pragatee foundation, Mumbai has organized Student counseling and Career Guidance Program at New English School, Kamothe Navi Mumbai. Program was concentrated on student suicide cases in Maharashtra and also on topic Yoga & Exam preparation. Camp was organized under supervision and guidance of Advisor Mr. Sachin Kamble and Mr. Ganesh Jagtap.
During this camp Advisor Mr. Sachin Kamble had shown some Yoga demonstrations to students. President Mr. Kiran Rane suggest student about preparation of Examination and discuss opportunities after SSC.  Mr. Sachin Kamble given some important tips about dieting habits and regular exercise. School principal Mr. Chalke and all staff members of New English School were present during this event. Approximately 500 students were present in this event. Pragatee foundation distributed copies of information leaf late about exam preparation and healthy health tips. All expenses were incurred by Pragatee foundation.

Career Guidance Program – Kumbhawade Gramasth Sangh

Kumbhawade Gramasth Sangh, Mumbai was organized fund raising event and celebrated their annual program on 25th Dec 2009, on this special occasion sangh has invited to pragatee foundation for conducting Career Guidance Program for their society students. Program was organized in Damodar Hall, Parel Mumbai. There were huge crowd approximately 1000 people were gathered together from Mumbai and village kumbhawade District Sindhudurga.
Pragatee foundation President Mr. Kiran Rane and guest Mr. Snehal kamble along with Advisor Mr. sachin kamble guide students about various career available in IT field and management field. Program was attended by MLA Mr. Pramod Jathar and MLA Mr. Bal Nandgaonkar. Pragatee foundation President Mr. Kiran Rane honored by Mr. Vasudeo Kate president of Kumbhawade Gramasth Sangh. Pragatee foundation contribute some fund in form of advertising to full fill object of Kumbhawade Gramasth sangh. Mr. Rane wishes all the best to kumbhawade Gramasth Sangh for raising fund for their school building.

Swine Flu Public Awareness Campaign-Rally (SFPAC)

On Saturday 15th Aug 2009 Pragatee foundation, mumbai (regd.) organisation has neen arraged swine flue awarness rally. It is noticable that it includes all students and volunteer of pragatee foundation. President Mr. Kiran Rane purposely avoid any political leader or any celebraty personality in participant. There are 100 to 150 students and 20 volunteers cum officer from paragatee foundation took active part in rally.
On occasion of 62nd National Freedom day pragatee foundation decided to make society from swine flue evil. During this rally pragatee shows various banners, hoardings and distributed handbills about H1N1 virus. Also distributed handbills about how to protect yourself from swine flue what precautions should you take to avoid swine flue infections. Pragatee foundation try to minimise scarecity about swine flue amoung the society. Student usage various slogans and posters to educate people.
 Rally was started exactly at 10am in the moring from Ghatkopar (west) to Ghatkopar(east). It covers area like Ghatkopar railway station, M.G. Road, LBS marg, Jagdoosha nagar, Amrut nagar, Parksite, Shreyas cinema, Laxmi nagar, Nityanand nagar, Ghatkopar depot., 90 feet road, Ghatkopar pant nagar, Ghatkopar east railway station. Ghatkopar police station has been provided special police protection van and 6 staff members for smoothly conducting rally.

World Women’s Day (Jagtik Mahila Din )



JAGTIK MAHILA DIN was celebrated widely on 8th MARCH 2009 by pragatee foundation, Mumbai. Mrs. Pawanpreet Kaur Duggal a Treasurer of Pragatee foundation enlightened the women about the need of education in becoming self dependent.
She was also focused on subject of killing of daughters in rural area. we have produced a street play on the subject of the PC-PNDT Act called ‘Bitiya Na Maro’. Mr. Pramod of Creative group and his troupe will perform the street play, which would be of 15-20 min. duration.
We were focused on the dire consequences of the falling sex ratio in our society and nation. 

In addition, we will be bringing forth the ways in which a common person can make a difference in preventing sex selection in the community. We are positive that you feel as strongly as we do about the evil practice of sex selection prevalent in our society. It is with this belief that we seek your kind permission to stage the play within the precincts of your esteemed organization between 15 April – 29 April 2009, in the 10am-1pm or 2pm-5pm time slot.
We request you to indicate a suitable timing for staging the play that would assure an audience of 100-150 Doctors/Lawyers/Nurses/Students/Community in General.
